March 19th, 2012 - My 20th birthday.

I always thought that tattoos like this were kind of mindless. I never understood why anyone would ever get a matching tattoo with their significant other, or even their name, until I met Matthew. We share a special connection that I don’t think many people get to experience. He’s my literal soul mate. We share the same interests, the same opinions, and scary enough the exact same thought process. He knows what I’m thinking before I say it, and vice versa. He knows how to make me happy, how to calm me down, and how to pull me out of a dark place. He’s incredibly supportive, and would do anything for me, just like I would do anything for him. He understands me, and everything I have ever been through. Our love is like no other, and I am very thankful to have him in my life. This tattoo represents our dedication to one another, and that he has me forever. I will never leave him, and this tattoo proves just that. Matthew Auretta, you will forever, and always, hold the key to my heart. I love you so much, please never forget that.

Master Hayden’s Butterbeer Latte Recipe:

So, it’s all explained in the recipe card graphic, but I have a few special notes to add.

Firstly, I invented this beverage in an effort to include all the flavours and textures I know Butterbeer to include and how I imagine it: creamy, frothy, butterscotch, shortbread. Let me explain how. Obviously butterscotch is covered by a caramel made from butter and brown sugar (not to be confused with raw sugar). The excess fat from the butter and combined with milk makes it creamy. The vanilla is commonly used in baked goods, thereby reminding one of cakes and biscuits, and a dash of cinnamon adds warmth of flavour. When the milk is boiled it creates froth that rises to the top - make sure it doesn’t boil over. Oh, when it’s done, the fat in the butter will obviously rise to the top so not to worry when an attractive yellow film forms.

To my taste this is damn near perfect butterbeer. If it could be carbonated then I would say it is perfection.

Just made this and it’s really delicious! Will be perfect on freezing winter days but it’s everything I imagine warm butterbeer to taste like.

If I had the chance to tell you one thing right now, it would be a reminder of the amount of love you had from many different people. I wish I could of put forth the effort to see you and speak with you longer than when you came and visited me out of the blue that one day a few months back. The fact that you came and seen me out of nowhere when you had been M.I.A really made me happy. It showed me that regardless of how long we haven’t chilled, you still cared enough to stop by to see how I was doing. You were nothing less than beautiful mentally and physically and you had the biggest heart. You were a great friend to me and I will miss you.. I’ve been missing you for a long time now, and now it’s turned into missing you for the rest of my life. I treasured you very much and I enjoyed all the good times we had. I love you so much, rest easy now. <3
